This weekend in Jacksonville was filled with heartbreak 💔  It was a heartbreaking weekend in Jacksonville.    A 7-year-old boy was fatally shot Friday afternoon and a 21-year-old was injured during a Westside shooting. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the 21-year-old man who survived the shooting was believed to be gang-affiliated. Several homes were struck by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported.    JSO says an $18,000 reward is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest. The family has started a GoFundMe to help with funeral expenses.    Another heartbreaking story that unfolded over the weekend led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man. A man was arrested for fatally striking an 8-month-old on Saturday afternoon with his car after placing the baby in the street, according to JSO.    Justin Golden, 20, was charged with aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide. In her first public remarks since being dropped by WDJT-TV (Channel 58), meteorologist Sam Kuffel said Friday she "never intended to harm anyone" with her social media posts criticizing Elon Musk's straight-arm gesture that many have likened to a Nazi salute.

"First, I just want to thank everyone for the tremendous support I’ve received," Kuffel said in a statement to the Journal Sentinel. "I was just voicing my personal opinion on a private social media account that was not accessible to the general public."
