Good morning, we have received calls on a Georgia Power Representative going door to door promoting solar power installation. The individual is asking for personal information and appears to be targeting single elderly women. He does "NOT" work for Georgia Power, please do not provide any information and we strongly advise you to immediately contact the Waycross Police Department.
Additionally, if you are a neighbor, we ask you to pass this information on to the targeted group who may not be on social media and to please watch out for them. That said this is the beginning of scam season so please be careful.
We will provide additional information as it becomes available.
