A Jacksonville woman saw $4,600 in unpaid rent balloon to a $35K bill. Her attorneys say that's illegal & she's suing |
A class action lawsuit has been filed against a Jacksonville-based property management company, alleging it charged tenants -- like Felicia Joyner -- excessive and unlawful fees in violation of Florida’s consumer protection laws.
Joyner said she originally owed about $4,600 in unpaid rent for December and January. However, the collection notice she received demanded nearly $35,000. |
