Investigator Taylor Bristow, who was shot in the line of duty at Carroll County last week, died of his injuries.
Bristow underwent surgery after the gunshot would sustained when he tried to execute a search warrant.
He died after surgery at Grady Hospital, where he was transported after the incident.
Bristow has family in Waycross.
