Charges announced in connection to three Georgia soldiers killed in Jordan drone attack
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Monday, Massachusetts District Attorney Joshua Levy and several members of the FBI announced charges and the arrest of two men in relation to the deadly drone strike that killed three U.S. service members from Georgia and injured more than 40 others.
This past January the U.S. Department of Defense identified the three American service members as Spc. Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah; Spc. Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, of Waycross; and Sgt. William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carollton.
Authorities said Mahdi Mohammad Sadeghi was arrested in Massachusetts and Mohammad Abedininajafabadi is in custody overseas. Investigators said drone parts linked the men to the attack.
Both are charged with violating U.S. export laws, conspiracy to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization resulting in death.

“These charges underscore the department will not cease in its effort to seek justice for service members who were killed and harmed overseas,” DA Levy said.
