Sheriff’s office investigates drowning of Fort Stewart soldier
BRYAN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The Bryan County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is investigating a drowning that occurred in the Tivoli River.
The Bryan County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Diving Team was deployed and retrieved Spc. Carlito Lindsey, 26. Lindsey was from Hollandale, Mississippi, but was an active military member stationed at Fort Stewart.
Fort Stewart said he was a 3rd Infantry Division Soldier and utilities equipment repairer assigned to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd ID. Carlito served in the Army on active duty for 13 months at Fort Stewart and previously served in the National Guard for nearly eight years.
